Ethics in AI: Navigating the Challenges of Education with EduAId

As Cathy O’Neil highlights in her book Weapons of Math Destruction, “The most dangerous algorithms are the ones we don’t see.” The swift incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into educational systems presents immense opportunities alongside significant ethical challenges that must be addressed. While AI can revolutionise educational delivery, it also poses risks such as increasing inequality, perpetuating bias, and compromising privacy if not managed carefully. The EduAId project is dedicated to tackling these ethical issues, ensuring that AI tools are created and applied with fairness, transparency, and respect for all learners.

The introduction of AI in education prompts various ethical concerns that require careful consideration. At EduAId, ethical principles are central to our approach to integrating AI in education. Our mission includes the development of AI tools that are not only innovative but also ethical, transparent, and equitable. Below are some key initiatives we are implementing:

Data Privacy and Protection

EduAId is committed to the highest standards of data privacy, including compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other relevant data protection laws.
